31 Days Of Random Acts of Kindness and Gratitude

Happy New Year!  I hope everyone enjoyed their time off.

The new year brings some new projects.  Listed below are just a few of the exciting things we will be doing in school over the next few months:

  • 31 Days of Random Acts of Kindness
  • Snow Fort Projects
  • Reverse Engineering

For the next month, our class will be reflecting on all that we have to be grateful for and we will be performing random acts of kindness. Each day the students will reflect and write about three different things that they are grateful for.

We will also be starting our next STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) project.  The students will design a snow fort model and then after a snowfall, will spend as much time as they can out on the field building full size snow forts.  The students will need to be dressed properly and may need to bring in some items from home to build their fort.

Another project that we will do later after February break is the Reverse Engineering project. In order for the students to complete this project, I need to collect as many wind up toys as I can.  If you have any old wind up toys that you could send in for the students to take apart, we would appreciate it.

I will be posting pictures as we start these activities, so be sure to check in often to see what we have been up to.
